Solution Styrene Butadiene Rubber SSBR products are classified into tyre grade and non-tyre grade according to application. Tyre-grade SSBR is characterised by random copolymer products with styrene content between 10 and 45%, vinyl content between 35 and 65%, and styrene block content <1%. Non-tyre grade SSBR is also divided into polymerisation-modified SSBR and product grade SSBR. Polymerisation-modified SSBR is mainly used for graft polymerisation modification of HIPS and native ABS, while product grade SSBR is used for transparent shoe soles, asphalt modification, and adhesives, etc., and is mainly characterised by the presence of partially embedded styrene, and a vinyl content of <20%.
